The forum will begin with a panel discussion which will involve Monica Grunfeld Rius, Federation of Associations for Defence and Promotion of Human Rights in Spain, Dr. Santiago Petschen, Chair "Jean Monnet" Faculty of Political Science and Sociology at the UCM, Arsenio Cores, the UN agency for refugees (UNHCR) and Alfredo Nour, a member of the Association for Nonviolence Education and promoter World March for Peace and Nonviolence.
Following the presentations, workshops will aimed at exchanging ideas and proposals around the following themes: Human Rights and Education, Health, Art and Media.
"The current situation is critical in all latitudes," said Virginia Lee, president of the association organizing the event, "and is characterized by the poverty of vast regions, by the clash of cultures and the violence and discrimination that pollute the daily lives of large segments of the population. To this day there are armed conflicts in many places and simultaneously a deep crisis of the international financial system. In this scenario, where there are human rights?, What can we do to promote compliance with human rights in all spheres of human life? How to create awareness about the need to repudiate all forms of violence? Especially invite you to share this forum to propose that will make the Dec. 10 tender and anyone interested in these thematic priorities
