The Japanese word KAWAII consists of three parts two kanji plus hiragana character.
The first Kanji is 可 and reads like KA , its meaning is "tolerable." The second kanji 爱 reads AI, its meaning is love. To not pronounce two consecutive aes + AI KA Kangi second transmutes into WAI. Finally the character い hiragama I only used to designate whether KAWAII is a type of adjectives in い I or type of adjectives in な
